It has been a hard and bumpy road getting my Aunt Millies quilt done to the quilter. In the travels, a most wonderful and talented quilted mentioned that the orientation of one the borders was off.
WHAT???
oh yes, you heard right, after I spent all that time appliquing this quilt, I never noticed this.
Take a look....do you see it?
yup, the orientation of the left and right borders are the same. one needs to be fixed.
Well you know I couldn't just take the border off and flip it, it had to be completely dismantled, unsewed, etc.
So there you go, that's what I did.
I am SOOO glad that I was able to fix this before it got quilted, cause you know I eventually would have seen it and then that's ALL I would see.
So thank you Margaret!!!!
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan
I don't know if I could have unsewn all of that beautiful applique. But now that it's finished...good for you!

I guess I don't understand why you changed it. The orientation of the top and bottom are the same also.

I have a Yule quilt that had been finished for about 10 years before I noticed the top vine didn't have any leaves or flowers at all. If we were perfect no one would love us!

This quilt is much lovelier in person. I am so fortunate to be able to quilt it for you. Sometime next week I should have started some of the "prettier" quilting (Just ditching away right now!)
