Were you there? Sorry if I did't say hello, I was so busy looking up.
I don't know how it was for you, but for me, it was emotional, I don't think I have ever been so moved by a one woman's work and so many women's work.
Joanna S. Rose has given us all a very special gift in sharing this collection. She has lovingly collected and cared for these quilts for a lifetime. She is a reminder to us all that this thing we do is meant to be shared, mostly in small ways and if we are lucky, in a grand way.
So which one did you like best?
Which one are you most likely to try to make your own version of?
For me, the fav either this
or this
or this
Which one would I try to replicate, well maybe this one
I bet I'm not alone when I say there is a red and white quilt in my future....
Hugs and Red and White Stitches!
Megan
Thanks for sharing with us who can't attend!

Thank you for the photos of the wonderful quilts. Four ladies & myself are visiting the US in late April to go to the Paducah Quilt show, how we wish that the Red & White quilt show was still on when we are in the country. To see such a show is a once in a lifetime experience. from Jenny (Australia)

Thank you for sharing the pictures...particularly the one from a distance. What a cool way to hang a show! I wish I could have been there. Yes, after seeing your pictures and some others in blogland, there is a red and white quilt in my future.
In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Hey Megan! Glad you had a great time. Might want to figure out the red bleeding issue from the last post before you commit to a Big red and white applique quilt.:p
See you Saturday at the Firehouse? Fondly Cheryl

I agree with you - I think we'll see a lot of red & white quilts in the future. I suspect a lot of designers are going to take advantage of this amazing collection. Sadly I ended up sick and couldn't get there. Hopefully someone will sponsor this show again in the future - six days isn't anywhere near long enough
