Thing One: Me doing embroidery
this was a fun little, get in the mood for the season, kind of project. It's supposed to be the center of a wall hanging, but I'm thinking now, maybe a pillow is the way to go. Of course, said pillow will have to go in the room where no one go--the livingroom--so as not get to ruined or stained. Finishing this will be my weekend project.
and I liked this so much I'm going to start a new one. But not without a new fangled tool....transfer eze.
Have you seen this stuff? It's like a stabilizer but you send it through your copier so the lines are printed on the top and then you peel back the freezer paper it is attached to and fingure press it to the top of your fabric. then stitch away. When you are done, it comes off in water. Sister Mary Kraft (formerly Cadbury) tried it and gave it thumbs up. So I'll give it a whirl.
And Thing Two that you don't see every day:
Pink shoelaces on football cleats, and at every game for the rest of the season. This is the football team's way to show support for a Football Mom who is suffering from breast cancer. You have to have alot of confidence to pull off that look: shoulder pads, helmet and pink shoelaces.
Two thumbs up to the Blue Angels!
Hugs and stitches!
