Doll Quilt with some help

I signed on for the Doll Quilt Swap (4???--where have I been???).  It must be mailed before the end of the summer.  I had in mind to do a little tumbling---again, the block, not gymnastics.  So this little doll quilt has come together with a little help from my friends....Kathie says "I have a whole bunch already cut if you want any".  While we were in Vermont and Barbie Van Wonderful was sitting on the couch having a little moment of peace I asked for her help in arranging the tumblers so I could start piecing them-----I think my exact words might have been "here, make yourself useful" ----yikes, this gang is  getting to be more like sisters everytime we spend time together.

So this holiday weekend, I'll hand quilt it.

I think this will be especially nice for my swap partner cause it's not just from me, but my friends too!

Pink Daze

Today the wind was due to blow, the temperature was due to drop, so it seemed like a good day to stay inside and hope for spring.

Don't pretty little pinks make you think of spring flowers and warmer weather (our windchill for tomorrow:  -10)

Patty gave me a pile of charm squares last month, so I pulled out 40 pinks, made four 9-patches, did that splitting the 9-patch thing and added a few circles and voila....a little taste of spring for the kitchen table

Hope your Monday is a little warmer than ours....
