Our friend Julie is moving to a foreign land where they speak in a funny accent, they "pahk the cah" there instead of parking the car. And we're gonna miss her. She has worn many hats in the guild and especially the Queen of Hanging for our guild shows. So what better way to send her off but with a quilt....ok, it a quilt top, but this way she can quilt it and think of us!
So I did the center and her friends made the nine patches. I think it's a nice group project---a little piece of everyone's heart----and she got a few extra 9 patches to start her next project too!
Happy Trails Julie.....but beware, we know your forwarding address!
And speaking of funny accents....we had Joan Shay last night at the guild. She's a hoot!! I did not think I was going to be quite so interested in her technique, but she really has spent alot of time perfecting her flower technqiues, and baskets and so on and so on. And she is a entertaining speaker, self -effacing, and informative, not at all dry. If you get a chance to see her, do it!
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan
