I pushed ahead thru a two week long cold and finally finished up all of the blocks for the Applique Sampler...
I would love to start on the borders but of course I didn't have enough of the red to do borders. So last week I placed an order on-line for a 2-1/2 yard piece of the border fabric. The shop called me to say that they did not have that much and wanted to know what I wanted to do. So I cancelled that order and ordered from another shop.
The mailman delivered on Saturday and I was all ready to start the border, only to find that they had only sent me 1-1/2 yards. UGH!!! I called the shop and they explained (with a bit of an attitude) that they did not have 2-1/2 yards so they sent me what they did have. Double Ugh! Needless to say I will not be ordering anything else from this shop.
So now I placed another order with a third shop and added instructions to only send if they had the full yardage.
The moral of the story....use the special instructions/comments when you place an order, otherwise you may not get what you want.
now I wait....
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan

Ugh is right! I've have more than one shop call me to say they didn't have enough of what I ordered and what did I want to do. That little bit of proactive customer service is so nice and will make me a repeat customer!! Doesn't take that much effort!

Frustrating! I thought most shops would at least email and ask what you would like them to do.
The quilt is looking fantastic and so close to being finished!! Woo-Hoo!

I am so impressed! My son was injured in the war on terror and died 3 months after his injuries! One of the things I will never forget are the wonderful women who gave me beautiful quilts for my wounded hero! I think you quilters are the most talented people ever! Thank you!!
