Sunday was the September gathering of the Sisters of Disorderly Conduct and our reveal of the most recent challenge.
We had been to the wonderful Red and White exhibit earlier this year and so we had our own little Red and White Challenge. We all had a fat quarter of the one fabric that had to be used in the quilt. The only rule was that it we should only use red, white or cream.
This was my little quilt (the border fabric is the one that we all had to use):
these are 1/2" hexies, so the finished quilt is only 14" (ish) . Because it was so small, I could easily hand quilted it (except for having to buy a 8" quilt hoop- I know, twist my arm to buy a new quilting tool).
And here's the rest of the quilts....one in a "almost" degree of doneness.
Aren't they all wonderful? And all so different.
That pretty much describes the Sisters, wonderful and all very different....and a whole lot of fun!
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan

I love that name...."Sisters of the Disorderly Conduct". You all behaved well, though, in making your challenge quilts!

How wonderful to see all of these! My guild is doing a red and white challenge and I can't wait to see all the variety. I love the fabric chosen that you had to use. Your quilt is very sweet and the handquilting is lovely.

Your hexie quilt is just beautiful, I love the gentle curves on your border.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
