Subtitle: No One is More Surprised than Me! or How do I say this without sounding Boastful?
We decided to go down the Shore (that NJ for going to a beach town along the NJ coast) instead of going to the first day of the Quilt Show. Some quality time with DH while the kids were off camping with Scouts. And I'm merrily shopping and the text message comes: "has anyone called you from the show?" response: "Tell!"
Sister Mary Awful (who really isn't) calls to tell me....I had to sit down. I could not have imagined....
O.M.G.! Best of Show! As my kid has been known to say: Flip...what the Zip? (he dared me to use that expression at work....let's see how I can work that into a conference call)
This is a first for me....so I'm sure I said all sort of stupid inane things when people congratulated me....accepting a compliment is a hard thing to do graciously.
And it's so funny as I walked around people would stop me and say "I remember at Guild meeting you were working on those blocks" or "I saw you sewing those blocks at the shop"....well I guess these blocks have been "around the block".
But the best was someone saying to me "your quilts always make me happy".
Mission Accomplished.
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan
P.S. This quilt is Kim McLean's design and most wonderfully quilted by Jeanne Bancroft.

Beautiful the colors are amazing in a photo so I can't even imagine what this must look like in person. Congratulations!
