I'm sure I'm not the only one....I look around at what is the one gift that someone else got that I NEEEED. Cause you know I'm a two year old and well, we have rules in our house. This year I bought my own post Christmas present. I had to, because while we don't have alot of strict rules in our house, the strictest one that is always adhered to is: NO domestic gifts or appliances unless specifically asked for.
But my sister did the research and my mother doesn't have this rule, so my mother got this Christmas.(it's the Eureka Steam Mop---according to my sisters research, the best of the steam mops...)
And the reviews are in....she likes it, Mikey!! She said it worked great on hardwood and tile and uses no chemicals and dries quickly. I'm sold, anything that will make the floor cleaner faster is for me. So I ordered it, hopefully 2010 will be the year of clean floors, 2009 was a year of the Black Foot Plague.
And speaking of cleaning... I'm making my 2010 Quilt List. What do I play on working on in this year. There are definitely some finishes in my future and some gifts that need doing, but my focus this year is going to be on stash reduction. Not that I don't LOVE to buy, but the storage has become an issue, both physical and psychological. I'm starting to feel guilty about how much stash I have....how much space in my house is devoted to storage, how much I spend on storage containers, how much time I spend sorting and resorting....has anyone else felt this way?
I think it's a good idea to start the year with a plan.....wish me luck!
Oh and cleaning the sewing room is definitely on the list too....at least I know the floor will get done!
All the best for a healthy, happy and productive 2010!
Hugs and Stitches!
