I'm trying really hard to resist.....I'm resisting sweets, I'm resisting white bread. And now that I'm actually finishing some projects I'm really working hard at resisting the temptation to start a new project. I'm still focusing on the UFO's and those poor orphan blocks that are just waiting to be a UFO.
Ok, what I really want to start on is this....
I picked this pattern up on a recent shopping trip with the Sisters. One of them MADE me buy all the background fabric, so I'm really ready to go on this......but resist I must.
Instead, I took 4 lonely basket blocks and they are now going to be a pillow.
I'm quilting it with pearl cotton with big stitches, so this will be done in a flash.
Gotta get more of these UFO's done so I can start a new project....all this resisting is killing me!!! Maybe I'll go eat some white bread.
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan

I have looked at that particular pattern several times thinking I would like to make it. Then I think about all the projects in the works or already planned. Reality sets in and I try to forget about the pattern. Maybe I need to go eat some white bread, too.

I feel you pain also being off sugar, off white bread and on an UFO mission with all kinds of temptation around the house and fabric store:-)

All I have to say is you are a very bad influence on me. Every time
you put something on your blog, I think it's cute too and have
visions of bliss making the same thing. I love that 3 brother's
farm quilt by Minick and Simpson. What a crazy bad influence
and now I have to find a place to get it. Love those horses, house
and stars. Alas, I have so many projects in UFO land but they will
be abandon when I find the afore mentioned quilt.
Keep up the good work. Love ya.

If its called 3 brothers farm why do you suppose there are only 2 horses? :0) You are so disciplined to resist - I think I create as many ufo's as I finish. Your basket pillow will be lovely quilted with pearl cotton.

I have that pattern too of Minnick & Simpson! I don't have the fabric yet, but it is going to be an after christmas project for me! Love your blog, Mary

Resist the white bread. Hang in there. I lost 12 lbs on South Beach last year, though admittedly, the 2 week detox period was one of the worst times of my life. And my DH's too. He's already told me that if I do it again, he's going out of town. Quilting, however, in any form, is always very good for my mental health!

Ahh to quote the Sisters... "sometimes a girls gotta do what she's gotta do". Start your engines and pick the fabrics, this one is another Megan keeper.
PS-why didn't you show us this BEFORE Aunt Millie's? It isn't as intimidating!
