Thank you Mother Nature

We had severe storm warnings yesterday, high winds, hail, etc.  What we got was rain off and on.  Rain in the morning, which meant I could sew instead of working in the yard.  Then sun for enough of the afternoon to get in the first playoff game which ended in a 17-2 no-hitter victory (thank goodness for the 15 run rule!) and then rain in the evening, so back to the sewing.

And look what I did....

Medallion2
isn't it funny, that blue floral really stuck out before and now it looks like a good transition.

the weather is better this morning and I'm having the guild's board end-of-year dinner this week, so I better get to that yard work even though I REALLY want to put on the next border. oh well, guess I'll have to be a grownup and go do the work at hand instead of playing....

Have a great day, hope the weather cooperates where you are.

Hugs and Stitches!

Megan

It's gorgeous!! We had the horrible rainstorms here yesterday (and last night) too. It's beautiful today but I'm NOT going to be a big girl and garden like I should - I'll be in the sewing room o:)

Your outer border really pulls it all together. Your work is quite lovely.

Megan, it is fantastic. It is amazing how the whole project changes after the addition of each new row. Well done!!!

I love this quilt!! Did you paper piece the star?

Wow! Another victory. Isn't it funny how you just have to make it almost and you have know idea what it will do til it's there! These medallions are an adventure for sure - but a fun one. Can't wait to see the next round - whenever that may be!

Stunning! The blue floral is perfect. It's storming here right now - lots of wind and rain, but since we need the rain I'm ok with it. However, I could do without the thunder and lightening. :)

how beautiful. You have done a wonderful job.

Wow! What a fantastic looking quilt! Your borders really bring it all together. Thanks for sharing a picture! Great job!

Oh Megan!. . . I love the feathered star! (& your borders too! The pieced one especially!) This is a dream block I want to make some day. . . but for now. . . I'll just relish yours!
(Um, & you can send some of that rain our way. . . we are going to be in triple digits for most of this week! ick!
xo, Bren

ohh Wow! Megan, this is super! Can't wait to see more.

It's absolutely lovely. Can't wait to see what you do next. I have always loved feathered stars, but have never dared try one.

Oooh gorgeous sampler fabric! And I love the blue floral border - what lovely fussy cutting! Very inspiring Megan. :-)

I am suprised how much the outer border calms down the orange border!

That quilt is gorgeous!!! I love the background fabric.

Wow, what a beautiful top. You have done a very good job, congratulations.
