Sit a Spell
So I took some time this weekend in the woods to sit a spell, recharge for the next few weeks of year-end madness.
of course, as all you upstate NY ladies know, if you are going to sit a spell in May in the Adirondacks, you better either wear a full head net or do it indoors! Black flies will eat you alive otherwise.
But I did find time to do a little Dear Jane-ing
So now I better go work on my medallion quilt....I feeling some pressure from the last holdout on starting this quilt.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan

Those other two girls have a way of making you feel guilty don't they? I don't thing there is anything wrong or right when it comes to these medallions. If it seems to light in the center add more light to the outer pieces to tone it down. I think the next layer can fix whatever is wrong with previous layers. Go for it.

What a lovely scene! I could see how it would be spoiled by bugs, though.

My latest dear janes aren't done yet. I remember those flies from visiting my father-in-laws childhood home in upstate NY. He used to live in Westport. Those flies were so bad I had to go sit in the car and roll up the windows. I didn't know they were all over that region, I just thought they were at his homestead or something. Now I understand!
