More Civil War....
I took a little time this morning, before the children woke, to spend some time at the machine....look what I did!
As you can see from the middle block, there are clearly some place where striped prints present some difficulties, but I'm sticking to "finished is better than perfect".
I think it's time now to take a look at where I am with row 1. I have a few more blocks for this row so I want to make sure that I have a range of different colors in each row.
I'm sensing a decided lack of purple in my blocks, mostly because the bin of CW fabrics is not as robust as other, but I know where I can remedy this.....(no,not Kathie's house) the LQS, or maybe I should start making a shopping list for Vermont.....is anyone else going???
Hugs and Stitches!
Megan

Can I have one of each!! WOW, beautiful blocks! Keep up the great work, hugs, Mary

Megan - your "finished is better than perfect" is much better than mine. I've purchased some stripe for my Dear Jane and I'm having a little trouble using it very much because of that same problem. Oh well. Nice job.

I am having the same issues with striped or directional fabrics in my civil war collection. I am trying to stick with the "better finished than perfect" motto too! Great blocks!
