One of my almost-10 year olds asked me in the car the other day (you know those deep discussions you have in the car??) if we had that phone service that we could call Canada and Puerto Rico for free. I answered "yes....do you know someone in Canada or Puerto Rico that you want to call?" He thought for a moment and then replied " no, but it's nice to have choices"
So off I go tomorrow to the Vermont Quilt Festival with 10 of my quilting buddies, I'm giddy with anticipation....three whole days of quilting, food and friends!
I am signed up for an applique class with Mary Sorenson that "explores advanced techniques for precision needle-turn applique" and I know I am packing way too many fabrics, but as my little genius says "it's nice to have choices"
Now that the fabric for the class is picked out I can move on to less important things, like finding something clean to wear....
And from the
Burning in Hell Department:
I picked up a little gift for my "catholic school gone bad" friend (you know who you are!) who also happens to be part of the Vermont caravan. Isn't it worth $3.99 to make a friend smile?
Hugs and Stitches!
